“Wow Factor”. That’s what Wade McNabb wanted people to experience from the moment they laid eyes on the Beechcraft Heritage Museum.

And - as is evidenced here in these photos - Mission: Accomplished!

Located in Tullahoma, Tennesee, the Beechcraft Heritage Museum is committed to preserving the rich history of all aircraft produced under the Beechcraft name. As Mr. McNabb, curator and CEO, shares, “The renovation of the museum in preparation for its 35th Anniversary Celebration was a very unique and special undertaking…an undertaking that required a very special hangar door.”

Having a 60’ Hydroswing door already in place on the airport’s existing Bonanza/Baron hanger, Mr. McNabb “loved it and knew he wanted another”. He also knew from experience that the Hydroswing team had the “out-of-the-box” thinking it would take to achieve his lofty goals. “What we wanted”, said McNabb “was the “wow factor” from the moment people pull up – in car or plane – to the building”.

When you see the finished product, with the aircraft displayed behind the 100% glass covered Hydroswing door,“WOW” is about the only thing you can say. The breathtaking sight of the historic aircraft, encased in glass is overwhelming. And yet with the push of a button the door opens and beckons you to investigate the treasures hidden inside. This dramatic display would never have been possible with a bi-fold or roll up.

Once again, Hydroswing’s simple and efficient one-piece design is the only choice for the most innovative of applications.

The vision is clear for the Beechcraft Heritage Museum, is yours?
